PET POLICY – SKYHAWK RENTALS, LLC
Although we do believe pets are part of our family, there are certain properties we manage that do NOT allow pets. This decision is based off of each property owner’s pet policy and/or certain insurance restrictions. Please check within the description of each property to know if certain animals are allowed.
If you apply for a pet friendly property, please be prepared to virtually introduce us to your pet by sharing a picture, their name, breed/kind, as well as weight and size! In addition, it will be required that we receive current vaccination records. We will need all this information before proceeding with your application to determine whether or not the pet is approved. If the pet is approved, you must know the terms of having a pet on the property. First, you will have to sign a pet lease with your residential lease before moving in or before the pet is brought to property. Within this lease, it will advise you of all of the requirements and inform you of the $300 non-refundable pet deposit and the monthly pet rent fee of $25. For properties that state small dogs only, small dogs is defined as adult weight of 15lbs or less. Due to property insurance restrictions, we cannot allow certain breeds of dogs, such as: Akitas, Alaskan Malamutes, Cane Corsos, Chows, Doberman Pinschers, German Shepards, Great Danes, Mastiffs, Pit Bulls, Presa Canarios, Rottweilers, Siberian Huskies, Staffordshire Terriers, and Wolf Hybrids at any Skyhawk Rentals property. Any combination of these breeds or any dog that has any of the above lineage is NOT allowed. Skyhawk Rentals reserves the right to deny any and all Mixed Breed dogs due to breed combinations or projected adult weight.
Emotional support animals or service animals that assist with special needs will be allowed provided the proper documentation has been provided. For this, we will need a letter from a licensed medical professional stating that the animal is needed for the residents’ wellbeing. Online certifications are not allowed or accepted. Acceptable ESA/service animals are determined by our management. Aggressive breeds, including the breeds that are listed above, will not be approved under any circumstance. In addition to ESA specific documentation, the standard pet items are required such as vaccination records, photo, etc.
If you apply for a NON-pet friendly property, you will NOT be allowed to have any pet on the property for any amount of time. This is a no exceptions allowed rule and will be cause for immediate eviction. Our policy only allows 2 pets total at each pet friendly property.
More than 2 pets can cause an undue financial burden on property owners at move out.
